The Narlan Wars: After the downfall of the Vril, two of the races that had been taken under control, the Narlan and the humans, became the closest of allies and made vows to protect each other if one fought an enemy that it could not handle. But when they were working together on a project known as the Intimidator, there was an attack. The Intimidator was stolen, and the Narlan that had been working alongside the humans were killed. After this, the Narlan turned against the humans, saying that they had planned it, and began to attack them at random times.
Twenty-five years later, after another Narlan attack, there is a second attack during which someone is kidnapped and a powerful type of radar known as the Amplifier goes missing. Suspecting that this is the work of the Narlan, Commander Simon Heffer gather his army and sets out to wage war with the Narlan. On their way, the humans make a new ally known as the Grekil, strong lizard-like beings with wings that can breathe fire of green flames and can also fly at intense speeds.
Together, the humans and Grekil fly down to the planet of Zifors in the galaxy of Crontias, and here the destruction begins. At first the Narlan are easily overcome, but the next day they bring out deadly machines that begin ripping through the lines of the human forces, and only the artillery and Grekil can cause any damage to the fierce tripods. After that day, the humans discover an underground cavern and build a fortress here, where the Narlan still know nothing of.
The Narlan fly to the next planet in the solar system, Cridion, so Commander Heffer and Captain Constance Beckley fly with some of their army to continue the war here. Commander Heffer leaves Kara Istan, a high-ranking pilot, in charge, and the fiercest war on Zifors begins. It moves from the fortress of the Narlan to the mountains, and from here it goes underground into the war-city Haven. Havoc and chaos ensue, and the Narlan literally collapse the planets surface on top of the humans to destroy them; only 1/3 of the human forces survive this attack.
On Cridion, the situation is less severe, for the humans are actually winning the battles raging on the surface, and they drive the Narlan off the planet. The Narlan go to the last planet that is the second-closest to the sun, Xaix, so the Commander sends the remaining Grekil after them to continue the war and hopefully weaken the Narlan. Three days later, the army from Zifors returns, telling of what happened and the devasating blow that they suffered. From here, the human army goes to Xaix, a two-week trip from Cridion and also to the final battle that will decide the fate of the war.
On the way to Xaix, Kara Ishtan's parents return from a mission that they had been assigned to 13-years earlier. They brought back five chemicals that were needed for a "Peace Detonator", a way that they would be able to track any threatening Narlan activity, something similar to what was used at the downfall of the Vril Empire. Captain Constance Beckley takes the chemicals, using special care with a black gas encased within one of the vials, and goes to create the 'Detonator'.
The humans reach Xaix, and chaos reigns. They fly unnoticed by the Narlan into the battle and fight alongside the Grekil, who have reduced the Narlan's fleet in the air to less than 200. The Narlan slowly weaken, their fleet is eventually destroyed, and Constance Beckley disappears from battle, returning later only to return with the body of Tony Griffen, the man who was kidnapped before the war started. He hands over the body, and he and two accomplices vanish.
The humans eventually overtake the Narlan and maroon them in a desolate galaxy, and then they begin the journey home.
Throughout the war, a mysterious force, the real kidnappers of Tony Griffen, have been following the humans and giving instructions to someone from the army on how to quickly revive them, but it is not in time. They vanish, passing on a force known as the Air of Power to Tony, but he is later killed by a traitor in the humans, who was trying to get the DNA of the force that took Tony. At the end, the traitors release a vial filled with four of the five chemicals into the universe, and they spread about, awakening those who had always been thought to be dead.
